BRAVO Properties was built to honor the memory of Tim Rhodes.​

From the early beginnings of Tim Rhodes Electric in 1986, while working out of just one truck, Tim’s commitment to excellence and service were qualities that would grow a family legacy. His electric company would later become Shoals MPE (Mechanical, Plumbing, and Electric). Eventually owning and operating multiple apartment complexes, rental homes, storage units, and commercial and vacation properties, Tim would open Tim Rhodes Properties, LLC.
Success was the result of hard work and ingenuity for Tim, who married his high school sweetheart, Doris, in 1973. The self-made successful couple never forgot where they came from, and they always gave back to those they loved. Whether at Rhodes Landing, the beach, or the lake, Tim and Doris provided countless lifelong memories for their family and friends.
For Tim, a balanced life meant starting his work days early enough to allow time for his family, including his grandkids – watching them play sports, riding four-wheelers and playing in the creek, or flying them around the house in his plane. Although he was very much a big kid full of laughter and fun himself, Tim was no less a serious entrepreneur. He was a perfectionist who expected the best out of everyone. Some may say he gave tough love, but he had worked to achieve his goals and wanted nothing more than to motivate and see others achieve success as well.
As a pilot of 20 years, Tim was passionate about planes and flying. Ultimately, he would lose his life doing what he loved to do. On Tuesday, July 28, 2020, after spending time with family, Tim and Doris boarded a plane in Gulf Shores, Alabama, and perished in a tragic accident not long after take-off.
On July 28, 2021, the one year anniversary following the passing of her parents, Beth Rhodes Dorsett created BRAVO Properties to honor her father’s legacy. In his tradition of excellence and service she now operates the property management company, named from one of the aviation call signs which was on each of her father’s planes. With three young sons waiting in the wings and learning their grandfather’s business from the ground up, this close-knit family will be carrying on Tim’s legacy for many years to come.
